Lakers fall in tournament play; boys tournament also postponed

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The South Dakota Boys Amateur Hockey Tournament saw two games played Friday before being postponed due to the COVID19 outbreak.

Game one saw Oahe defeat Sioux Center 6-2.  Clay Ambach lead the scoring attack for the Capitals with two goals.  Adam Ankrum, spencer Wedin, Christopher Schultz and Cole Nelson each added one goal.  Taylor Dejager and Lucas Vanberkel each had a goal for the Storm.

Brookings would down Watertown in game two 9-0. Maxwell Kjelden put four through the net for Brookings. Ashton Witte, Cater Merritt, Talon Richter, Logan Bortnem and Carter Shoup each contributed a goal for the Rangers.

Play was suspended, at the request of Governor Noem, after game two due to the COVID19 outbreak.
