Laker boys and girls split at Fort Pierre

FORT PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Laker boys would fall on the road to Oahe 4-2 Saturday night.

Jared Slobotski and Mason Evans would each put one in the net for Watertown. Blair Boomsma, Conner Bramer and Jacob Van Dusseldorp would each tally an assist.

Owen McBride would stop 27 of 31 shot on goal. Oahe would out shoot the Lakers in the contest 31-17.

On Sunday, the Laker girls would blank Oahe 3-0. Jaclyn Lloyd would lead the scoring attack with two goals. Jayda Kranz would also put one through the net. Sydnie Young was on lockdown between the pipes stopping 21 of 21 shots. Watertown would out shoot the Capitals in the contest 21-18.

The Watertown girls hit the road next weekend for games at Mitchell on Saturday and Huron on Sunday. The Watertown boys come back home to face Aberdeen Saturday and travel to Huron Sunday. Jeff Anderson will have coverage of both boys games on 1480 KSDR and GoWatertown.net.
