PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Lakers would have a tough Saturday night at Fort Pierre. The boys would fall to Oahe 12-1 while the girls would end up in a 2-2 tie.

Austin McBride would be the lone Laker to score a goal. Kyler Kranz would add the assist.  In net, Owen McBride would stop 6 of 13 shots on goal while Graysen Kasuske would stop 16 of 21 shots on goal. Oahe would outshoot Watertown 34-26 in the game.

Jaclyn Lloyd and Jillian Busch would each score a goal for the Laker gals. Cate Holien, Katie Birnell and Lloyd would each notch an assist. Emma Foisel would stop 15 of 17 shots on goal. Watertown would outshoot Oahe in the contest 44-17.

After this weekend the Laker girls are 3-7-1 and face Oahe again at home January 30th at 4:30 p.m. The Laker guys are now 3-6 and travel to Aberdeen January 29th for an 8 p.m. puck drops and come home to face Brookings on Saturday, January 30th at 8:30 p.m. The boys and girls games next weekend will be broadcast on 1480 KSDR and GoWatertown.net/Lakers with Jeff Anderson on the call.
