Laker girls conclude season with two losses at State Tournament

FORT PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Laker girls would end their season this past weekend with two losses at the 2020 South Dakota State Girls Varsity Hockey Tournament at the Oahe Expo Center in Fort Pierre.

On Friday the Lakers would fall to Brookings in OT 3-2.  Jaclyn Lloyd and Jillian Busch would each put one through the net for Watertown.  Emma Foisel would stop 61 of 58 shots on goal.  The Rangers would out shoot Watertown in the game 61-15.

On Saturday, the host team Oahe would end the season of the Lakers by a final of 3-2.  Jayda Kranz would be the lone Laker who would put two through the net.  Jaclyn Lloyd would add an assist.  Sydnie Young would stop 6 of 9 shots on goal.  Watertown would out shoot the Capitals on the contest 38-9.

The Laker gals wrap up their regular season with a 5-12 record.
