Laker girls come away with winning weekend

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Laker girls would come away with a winning weekend with two wins over Sioux Center.
On Saturday the Lakers would skate to a 7-4 victory. Jaclyn Lloyd would lead the scoring attack with four goals and one assist. Maddilyn Steen would tally two goals and Jillian Busch would add one. Sydnie Young would stop 28 of 32 shots on goal. Despite coming away with the loss, Rushmore would lead the shots on goal 32-23.
On Sunday the Lakers would again come away with a 7-3 victory. Jaclyn Lloyd would again lead the scoring onslaught with four goals. Taylor Espland, Janel Lloyd and Maddilyn Steen would each score one goal a piece. Emma Foisel would stop 25 of 28 shots on goal. Rushmore would again lead in shots on goal 28-24.
The Laker girls (2-3) travel to Sioux Falls December 21st (5:30 p.m.) and Aberdeen (1:30 p.m.) on December 22nd.
