Laker boys and girls split weekend contests.

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) —  The Watertown Laker boys would come away victorious on Friday night at Mitchell 6-1.

Conner Bramer would lead the scoring for Watertown with three goals and one assist.  Devin Matson, Austin Green and Mason Evans would each add one goal a piece.  Between the pipes, Owen McBride would be on lock down stopping 28 of 29 shots on goal.  Mitchell would out shoot Watertown in the contest 29-25.

As heard on 1480 KSDR on Saturday, the Lakers would fall to Sioux Center 5-3.

Blair Boomsma, Austin Green and Mason Evans would each notch a goal in the contest.  Owen McBride would stop 20 of 25 shots on goal.  The Lakers would out shoot the Storm in the contest 25-25.

On the girls side this past weekend, the Lakers would fall to Sioux Falls Friday, 10-0.

The Flyers would out shoot Watertown 57 to 6 in the contest.  Chloe Harbaugh would lead the scoring attack for Sioux Falls with five goals and three assists.

The Laker girls would come away victorious on Saturday at Sioux Center, 4-2. Jayda Kranz led the Lakers with two goals.  Maddilyn Steen and Jaclyn Lloyd would add one goal each.  Sydnie Young stopped 39 of 41 shots on goal.  The Storm would out shoot Watertown in the contest 41 to 11.

The Laker girls are off till February 2nd when they travel to Fort Pierre to face Oahe.  The Laker boys will travel to Fort Pierre to also face Oahe on February 1st.
