Laker boys fall for the first time this season, girls earn first win

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Lakers would fall to Oahe Saturday night by a final of 7-3.
Parker Sheehan, Kyler Kranz and Max Evans would each score for Watertown. Owen McBride would stop 37 of 44 shots on goal. Oahe would outshoot the lakers 44-32.
Watertown (1-1) travel to Sioux Center on Saturday, December 19th, and Sioux Falls Two on Sunday, December 20th.
The Watertown Laker girls would fall to Aberdeen on Friday but earn their first victory on Saturday against Huron.
On Friday, Watertown would fall to Aberdeen by a final of 10-2. Jacklyn Lloyd would score both of the Laker goals, her sister Janel would tally the assist. Emma Foisel would stop 49 of 59 shots in net. The Lakers would be outshot in the contest 59-16. On Sunday Watertown would grab their first victory of the season over Huron 9-3. Jayda Kranz would explode with four goals and one assist on the night. Jaclyn Lloyd would drop through three goals and Jillian Busch would tally two. Janel Lloyd would register three assist, Taylor Espland with two and Cate Holien with one. Emma Foisel would stop 17 of 20 shots on goal. The Lakers would outshoot the All-Stars in the contest, 41-20
