WATERTOWN, S.D.–A program was held in the Watertown High school lunchroom Wednesday afternoon as the school district named its 2022-23 Classified and Certified Employees of the Year.
The Classified Employee of the Year is Casey Kurkosky, the Head Custodian at Watertown Middle School.
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen says even though custodians like Casey aren’t in the classroom teaching students, they’re still doing some of the most important work that happens in a school building on any given day…
The Certified employee of the Year is Bobbi Jo Soupir, who’s a Transition Coordinator and Teacher at Garfield. Danielsen talked about the role she plays in teaching and learning…
Danielsen says it’s important to represent these top notch employees with an awards program each year…
