KS93 Game of the Week: Florence/Henry vs Deuel

CLEAR LAKE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — It’s a battle of the birds tonight on the New Country KS93 Game of the Week as the Deuel Cardinals play host to the Florence/Henry Falcons.

Florence/Henry comes into tonight with a record of 4-3 and sit as one of the at large teams in the Class 9AA playoff brackets.  Win or lose, the Falcons look make the playoffs for the first time in 11 years as an at large bid and will most likely head right back to Clear Lake for the opening round October 24th. Coach Travis Schmidt says the key to stopping Deuel is containment:

The Deuel Cardinals come into Friday night with a 6-1 record and are ranked number three in the latest Class 9AA South Dakota Prep Media Football Poll.  The Cards sit in a tie for the 3rd/4th playoff seed with Lemmon/McIntosh.  Coach Dustin Hourigan says the key to their success so far this season has been their senior leadership:
