WATERTOWN, S.D.–There will be no Karing Kapers performances in Watertown in 2020. The organization sent this message via email to KWAT News today:

As we’re sure you’re already aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has meant that it’s now vital to limit social contact and avoid gathering. For that reason, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Karing Kapers 2020 which was to be held October 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2020.

While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we’re taking to help keep our performers, back stage crew and other volunteers and attendees safe. This is very disappointing to all of us involved with Karing Kapers, too. This was to be a celebration of our 40th show raising funds to support the performing arts in our community.

So, what happens next?

We are already planning for Karing Kapers 2021. Please mark your calendar for October 7th, 8th & 9th, 2021. Our Meet the Director event for performers, stage crew and other volunteers will be September 20th, 2021.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Robbyn Givens, Karing Kapers, vice president and publicity chair at (605) 868-9445. You can also check the Karing Kapers, Inc. Facebook page for more information. You may also message us there, as well: facebook.com/KaringKapers.
