ABERDEEN, S.D.–The National Weather Service office in Aberdeen has released January weather statistics for its coverage area.

 

The numbers show Watertown had a monthly average temperature of 13.9 degreees–which was 1.2 degrees warmer than average.

 

The warmest temperature of the month was 37 degrees on the 5th. The coldest temperature in January was -22, recorded on the 16th.

 

Watertown recorded 11.3 inches of snow in January, which was six inches above normal.
