Jacks six seed in Summit League Volleyball Tournament


SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoJacks.com) — South Dakota State will play in the 2021 Summit League Volleyball Championship Tournament as the No. 6 seed after finishing the regular season with an 18-11 (10-8 SL) record. The Jackrabbits will open the tournament Thursday, November 25 at 7 p.m. against No. 3 Denver in Vermillion, S.D.

Denver goes into the tournament with a 23-5 overall record and 14-4 Summit League mark. The Pioneers won both meetings with the Jackrabbits earlier this season.

The winner between SDSU and Denver will advance to take on South Dakota in the semifinal round Friday. The championship match is slated for Saturday afternoon. The champion will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Quarterfinals (Thursday, Nov. 25)
No. 4 Kansas City vs. No. 5 Oral Roberts – 4:30 p.m.
No. 3 Denver vs. No. 6 South Dakota State – 7 p.m.

Semifinals (Friday, Nov. 26)
No. 1 Omaha vs. Quarterfinal 1 winner – 4:30 p.m.
No. 2 South Dakota vs. Quarterfinal 2 winner – 7 p.m.

Finals (Saturday, Nov. 27)
Semifinal 1 winner vs. Semifinal 2 winner – 2 p.m.
