BROOKINGS, S.D. (GoJacks.com) — Another week, another home game for the South Dakota State University football team against a ranked opponent.

For the third home game in a row and the third time in four weeks, the Jackrabbits will play a game at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium with Football Championship Subdivision playoff implications.

Saturday, SDSU hosts Northern Iowa on Senior Day in a battle between two teams in the FCS top 10. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Saturday’s game also has been designated as the second annual Precision Agriculture Bowl at SDSU.

The Jackrabbits, 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference have dropped their last two home games, falling to top-ranked North Dakota State, 23-16, on Oct. 26, followed by a 27-18 setback to then-No. 11/12 Illinois State last week.
SDSU dropped from fourth in last week’s rankings to eighth in the STATS FCS media poll and ninth in the most recent FCS coaches’ rankings.

Northern Iowa, meanwhile, has won its last four games to enter Saturday’s matchup with a 7-3 overall record and a second-place mark of 5-1 in the MVFC standings. The Panthers have steadily risen in the polls in recent weeks and find themselves fourth in the media poll and fifth in the coaches’ poll released Nov. 11.
