Jacks, Coyotes secure first round byes in FCS football playoffs

UNDATED–College football’s FCS playoff bracket was released Sunday.
Undefeated Montana State is the number one overall seed.
North Dakota State is seeded number two, followed by South Dakota State and the University of South Dakota. Those teams shared this year’s Missouri Valley Conference football championship, and all receive first round playoff byes this upcoming weekend.
USD is coming off a last minute upset of NDSU in the DakotaDome on Saturday while the Jackrabbits got a share of the conference crown with a road win at Missouri State.
SDSU is the two-time defending national champions.
