Influenza numbers still rising in South Dakota (Audio)

PIERRE, S.D.—Influenza cases are still rising in South Dakota…
That’s State Epidemiologist Dr. Joshua Clayton (pictured). Since those numbers were released, it’s been learned that a fourth grade boy in southeastern South Dakota has become the first child in the state to die of flu-related complications this winter.
As for the coronavirus, Dr. Clayton says it’s all quiet in South Dakota…
And that puts South Dakota in a small group nationally….
In the U.S., there have been 15 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with one death death.
Globally, the virus has caused more than 2,100 deaths.
