HURON, S.D. (Performance Radio – Huron) The final events of the fall South Dakota high school sports season are coming up this weekend with the State Volleyball Tournaments. Huron will be host to the Class B tournament, Watertown Class A, and Brookings AA.
Huron Activities Director Terry Rotert says all three tournaments will require masks for all spectators
There have been some tweaks to the schedule, including evening sessions starting an hour earlier at 5 p.m., and more time in between matches
Afternoon sessions will still start at noon. Rotert says player protocol will be the same as it has been for Tiger volleyball at the Arena this fall
Rotert says he plans to open up the playing floor a bit more than usual
After much discussion, it appears the teams are mostly staying in the host cities
Rotert says spectators in Huron will be allowed to watch all tournament matches if the prefer
There will be sanitizer stations available throughout the arena for spectators. All three state volleyball tournaments will run Thursday thru Saturday.
