HSVB: Arrows come back from Rapid City 1-1

RAPID CITY, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Volleyball would fall to Rapid City Stevens 3-0 Friday night. Set scores 25-23, 27-25, 25-19.
At the serving line, Karli Hanten would go 17 of 20 with three aces and Kayla Volken 16-16 and two aces.
On the attack, Kendall Paulsen and Emily Tischer would each have six kills, and Emma Koch and Eve Hauger would each tally three.
Defensively Paulson had 11 digs, Hanten 10 digs, and Jaclyn Lloyd with 5.
The lower levels would have a good night with JV (25-20, 25Hillcrest Tennis Courts-19), Sophomores (25-21, 25-22), Freshman A (25-11, 25-18), and Freshman B (25-9, 25-8) all coming away victorious.
On Saturday, the Arrows would come away with a straight-set sweep of Rapid City Central, 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.
Volken would go 14 of 14 with three aces from the serving line. Maddi Rohde 13 of 15 with three aces.
On the attack, Paulsen would have 10 kills, Koch with eight, Tischer six, and Hauger with four.
Defensively Rohde had 16 digs, Hanten with 11, Paulson 9, and Lloyd with eight. Koch would have one block and five assists.
The lower levels would also sweep the Cobblers, JV (25-13, 27-25), Sophomores (25-16, 25-23), Freshman A (25-7, 25-9), Freshman B (25-19, 25-6).
Watertown (5-4) comes home to face Sioux Falls O’Gorman on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. first serve. Game will be broadcast on 950 KWAT with video on GoWatertown.net/Arrows.
