HSTENNIS: Five Arrows place at State AA Tennis Meet

RAPID CITY, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Arrow boys tennis wrapped their season Friday at the State AA Tennis Meet in Rapid City with a fifth-place finish score of 214. Sioux Falls Lincoln was again crowned team champion with a score of 539.5.

Curtis Sneded would take home fifth place in flight two by defeating Rapid City Stevens Nolan Rehorst 10-1.

Evan Meester would fall to Cooper Johnson of Sioux Falls O’Gorman 10-1 in the 3rd place game of flight three.

Jadon Linder fell to Sioux Falls Washington’s Jacob Morgans 10-3 in the third-place match of flight five.

Zandar Binde would take home fifth place in flight six by defeating Koeton Anderson of Harrisburg 10-6.

Mahowald/Sneden in flight one doubles would defeat the team of Murray/Woidyla or Brandon Valley in the 5th place semis but fall in the fifth-place match to Goetz/Ahlberg of Aberdeen 10-5.

Flight two doubles team of Meester/Remmers would fall to the Brandon Valley team of Badger/Woidyla 10-2.

Flight three team of Linder/Binde would take home fifth place by defeating the Harrisburg team of Ptak/Anderson in the semis and the Rapid City Stevens team of Pharis/Nehring 10-2 in the finals.

Watertown Arrow boys tennis will graduate five seniors, Zandar Binde, Zach Blumeyer, Jadon Lindner,Jack Sjoberg, and Paul Vocu.
