SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown Arrow girls tennis would split their matches Monday at the Sioux Falls Washington Invite.

Watertown would defeat the host Washington 9-0. Jaida Young (6-3, 6-0), Ellie Zink (6-2, 6-2), Leyla Meester (6-0, 6-1), Josie Heyn (6-0, 6-0), Faith Burg (6-1, 6-0), and Sophia Nichols (6-0, 6-0) saw singles victories while the team of Zink/Heyn (6-1), Meester/Young (6-1, 6-1), and Berg Nichols (6-1, 6-1) saw doubles success.

Watertown would see their second loss of the year to Sioux Falls O’Gorman 6-3 in the second match of the day. Young (4-6, 6-1, 10-6), and Heyn (6-0, 4-6, 10-7) took singles victories while the team of Meester/Young (6-1, 6-0) grabbed the lone doubles win.

Watertown Arrow girls tennis (2-2) will face Sioux Falls Jefferson on Friday, August 26th at Highland Park.
