HSSOCCER: Arrows take two from Yankton

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Mya York’s goal with an assist by Katie Fischer nine minutes into the second half turned the momentum in Watertown’s favor in a 2-1 win over Yankton in high school girls’ soccer Thursday night. Rylie Campbell added the second goal from a Makenna Blank throw-in. Katelyn Hanson had four saves in net.

The Arrow boys squad also saw a 4-2 victory against the Bucks. Jaxson Fietcher had two goals, one unassisted from 30 yards out. Fiechtner also added an assist on Ryan Roby’s goal. Roby notched two assists on the night. Riley Fischer also knocked one threw the net. Blake Hight had 14 saves in net.

The Watertown boys (2-1) and girls (2-1) soccer programs have their home opener at the Anaza Soccer Complex against Tea Area on August 23rd.
