HSSOCCER: Arrows split opening weekend games at Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. (GoWatertownnet) — Watertown Arrow boys soccer split their opening weekend contests out in Rapid City.

Watertown would open the weekend with a 3-1 win over Rapid City Central on Friday. Tommy Foley, Jaxson Feichtner and Mason Anderson each knocked one through the net. Ryan Roby and Ethan Bohling notched the assist. Blake Hight had five saves in net.

The Arrow boys were held scoreless against Stevens on Saturday 3-0. Hight had seven saves in net.

The Watertown girls soccer squad started their year with a 2-1 victory against Rapid City Central on Friday. Regan Campbell scored both goals for the purple and gold. Katelyn Hanson had 18 saves in net.

The Arrow girls would fall on Saturday to number two Rapid City Stevens 2-1. Elizabeth Olson notched the only Watertown goal with an assist by Campbell. Hanson had 12 saves in net.
The Watertown boys (1-1) and girls (1-1) travel to Yankton for a pair of games on August 18th.
