HAYTI, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The South Dakota high school football season begins this Friday night and Watertown Radio Sports will feature two games.

The Hamlin Chargers will open the season at home against the Britton-Hecla Braves on New Country KS93.  Hamlin is coming off a state 9AA runner-up finish and will bring back four starters to this year’s squad says Coach Jeff Sheehan:

Sheehan says even though they will be a younger quad, his team has come into this year hungry:

Britton-Hecla finished 2020 with a 4-5 record and was bounced from the 9A playoffs in the first round by Ipswich/Edmunds Central:  The Braves bring five starters back this season.  Coach Jacob Skogstad says he’s excited to see where his players are at this Friday:
