SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Heartbreak for Watertown Football Saturday night as the Arrows fall to Sioux Falls Lincoln on a last-second hail mary pass,
Down 25-18, Watertown put together a six-play, 72-yard drive as Drew Norberg found Colin Dingsor from 28 yards out and completed the two-point conversion to take the lead 26-25 with :42 seconds left.
Sioux Falls Lincoln would take over on their own 34-yard line and march down the field. With :03 seconds left, Tate Schafer’s hail mary pass was tipped and found Jack Smith for a 53-yard completion as time expired. Lincoln came away with the jaw-dropping W 31-26.
Norberg would go 24-42 through the air for 366 yards and four touchdowns and carry the rock nine times for 51 yards. The combination of Norberg and Cole Holden was deadly with seven receptions for 197 yards and three touchdowns. Dingsor grabbed eight receptions for 64 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Juven Hudson had 12 carries for 34 yards. Defensively, Ben Althoff had 21 tackles, 11 solo.
