WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Harrisburg would use a 32 point second half to slide past Watertown 53-48 in high school boys basketball Tuesday night.

Watertown led by as many as ten in the first half and was up 27-21 at the half.

Drew Norberg led the Arrow attack with 24 points on 11 of 21 shooting from the field, grabbed nine boards, and stole the ball once. Reese Stark added nine, Cole Holden with eight, and Kohen Kranz added five points off the bench.

Ethan Determin led the Tigers with 19 points.

Coach Zack Wevik on the loss:

It was a similar story for the Watertown girls who led 25-22 at the half but couldn’t hold on in a 52-50 loss at Harrisburg.

Jaida Young was Watertown’s leading scorer with 15 points on six of 11 shooting from the field. The junior stole the ball four times. Grace Corey added nine points, Maddy Rohde with eight and Kendall Paulson had six.

Emilee Boyer had 25 points to led the Harrisburg Scoring.

That loss sends the Watertown girls to the number 11 spot in the power point rankings as they wrap their regular season at 9-11 and await their opponent in the Class AA Sodak 16 to be played on Friday, March 4th.

The guys hold steady at number 13 in the power points and drop their record of 6-13 and will wrap their regular season at Moorhead, Minnesota on Thursday. Brent Nathaniel will have coverage on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net/Arrows.
