WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown Arrow girls basketball would use a 30-10 second half ot pull away from Sioux Falls Roosevelt 59-37 Friday night.

The Arrows were led by a 25 point performance from Jaida Young who would go nine of 18 from the field, two of four from three-point land, five of seven from the charity stripe, grabbed eight boards, and three steals. Jade Lund followed behind with nine points, all of them from beyond the arc and Maddy Rohde tallied eight points and had two steals.

Kaela Martinez led the Roughriders with 13 points

On the boys’ side, number one Sioux Falls Roosevelt would outshoot Watertown from the field, 64 percent to 32 percent in an 81-51 victory.

Two Arrows led the scoring collum with Drew Norberg tallying 21 points on seven of 16 shooting from the field and stole the ball three times. Cole Holden added 11 points on five of seven shooting from the field and nabbed five boards. Marcus Rabine added five points on the bench.

The Roughriders were led by Gilo Thoralingo with 13 points.

The Watertown boys slip to 6-10 but remain at number 13 in the powerpoint rankings while the girls improve to 9-8 and move up to number seven in the powerpoints and both will face Aberdeen on Tuesday. The guys will be at home on 950 KWAT while the girls at Aberdeen can be heard on New Country KS93.
