PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — A 35 point performance for Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz would power the Governors past Watertown 72-65 in high school boys basketball Friday night.

Kienholz went 14 of 25 from the field and six of seven from the charity stripe.

Watertown was led by Drew Norberg with 31 points on 13 of 26 shooting from the field, four of six from the line, and dished one assist.  Cole Holden added 11 points and one steal, Reese Stark tallied seven points.

Turnovers would hurt Watertown girls basketball in their 46-33 loss to Pierre Friday.

Jaida Young led the scoring for the purple and gold with nine points, Grace Ortmeier added five, Emery Thury netted four points off the bench.

Pierre’s Remmington Price led all scorers with 16 points.

The Arrows would suffer from 16 turnovers in the contest.

Watertown falls to 9-10 and drops to the number 10 spot in the Class AA power points, and the boys drop to 6-12 and remain in the number 13 slot in the AA power points.  Both teams will face Harrisburg on Tuesday night.  Girls at the Tigers will be heard on New Country KS93 will the guys at home will be on 950 KWAT.
