WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown Arrow boys basketball never got in sync in a 63-42 loss to number five Aberdeen Central Tuesday night.

Drew Norberg led the scoring for the purple and gold with 14 points. Norberg would go eight of nine from the charity stripe. Devon Lewis added 13 and knocked down three of four from three-point land.

With 25 points, Alec Volgele would lead the Golden Eagles who would outshoot Watertown 51 percent to 31 percent as a team.

On the girls’ side, Aberdeen would outscore Watertown 17-11 in the fourth quarter to propel the Golden Eagles to a 57-55 win over Watertown.

Two Arrows scored in double figures with Jaida Young leading the pack with 13 points on five of 12 shooting from the field and five boards, Emery Thury added 10 points and also add five boards, Jade Lund contributed nine while Grace Corey added eight.

Kiana Mounga would lead all scoring with 16 points for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Central outshot Watertown on the night 55 percent to 36 percent.

The Watertown girls fall to 9-9 while the boys slip to 6-11 and both will face Pierre on Friday. The guys at Pierre can be heard on 950 KWAT while the girls game will be on New Country KS93.
