HS HOCKEY: Laker girls come away with 2-1 weekend

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Laker Girls Hockey would come away with a 2-1 weekend.

The yellow and black started the weekend with a 7-4 W at home against Huron Friday.  Jaclyn Lloyd led the way with four goals, Jayda Kranz, Rylie Redlin, and Jillian Busch each chipped in one.  Emma Foisel stopped 36 of 40 shots on goal.

The Lakers continued their winning ways, 4-2 over Brookings on Saturday. Lloyd and Meg Sunde each sent two through the net.  Foisel stopped 32 of 34 shots on goal.

Yankton would stop the Laker winning streak on Sunday, 3-1.  Lloyd was the lone Laker to knock one through.  Angelyn Birnell stopped 26 of 29 shots on goal.

Watertown will travel to Huron on Saturday and come home to face Sioux Center on Sunday.
