WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown struggled to get the bats going as Sioux Falls East would sweep Post 17 Wednesday night.

The purple and gold would only muster three hits in a 5-0 game one loss. Ryan Roby, Drew Denzer, and Ben Althoff each had one hit. Will Engstrom put in five innings of work on the hill allowing four hits, four runs, walking four, and striking out four.

Watertown put down only three hits in game two in a 5-2 loss. Jack Heesch had one hit and one RBI while Andrew Czech and Bryce Hult each had one hit. Jerod Cyrus threw four and third innings on the hill allowing five hits, five runs, walking five while fanning nine. Czech and Ryan Roby each saw time on the mound in relief.

Coach Ryan Neale says hits were hard to come by last night:

So how do you get the bats going?
