Highway Patrol identifies man killed on I-29 north of Watertown

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The South Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the two people involved in a fatal crash on Interstate 29, four miles north of Watertown last week.

Fifty eight year-old Charles Slettedahl of Stockholm was killed when the car he was driving was struck from behind by a pickup.

Slettedahl’s car went into the ditch and rolled.

The pickup was driven by 18 year-old Dalton DeYonge of Slayton, Minnesota. He was not injured.

The crash was reported just before 8 p.m. last Wednesday.
