Highway Patrol identifies man killed in crash in southeast South Dakota

VERMILLION, S.D.—The South Dakota Highway Patrol says an Iowa man has been identified as the person killed in a single vehicle crash in southeast South Dakota.

Twenty seven year-old Justin Montague of Akron, Iowa was at the wheel of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that left Highway 19 eight miles north of Vermillion early Sunday morning.

Montague was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle.

He was the only occupant involved, and died at the scene.
