WATERTOWN, S.D.—The National Weather Service has placed northeast South Dakota and western Minnesota in a High Wind Warning (gold shaded area) starting this (Monday) afternoon, and continuing into early Tuesday morning. 

 

Forecaster Aaron Dorn says winds out of the north-northwest will begin ramping up mid-afternoon today….

 


 

Dorn says wind gusts of that nature will be strong enough to bring down some tree limbs, and potentially mess with the power grid…..

 

 

Cities in the High Wind Warning include Watertown, Britton, Sisseton, Milbank, Webster, Clear Lake, Wheaton and Ortonville.
