Heath, Hansen and Johnson card day one first place results at state golf

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — After day one of the 2021 Girls State AA Golf Meet, Watertown sits in seventh place with a team score of 355.  With a 309, Sioux Falls O’Gorman ended day one in first place.

Individually for the Arrows, Riley Zebroski sits in a tie for eighth place with a day one score of 78.  Samantha Anderson shot an 84,  Jordyn Geerdes 95, Maia VanLaecken 98, Shelby Pearson 98, and Aspen Reynolds 101.  Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa is five-under after day one with a 66.

From the Girls A, Sioux Falls Christian is in first place with a 352, Sisseton second with a 375.  Sisseton’s Kelsey Heath is tied with Beresford’s Maiya Muller for first place carding a 75.  Kierra Silk is in a tie for fifth place with an 84.

At the Girls B, Estelline/Hendricks carded a team score of 268, good for first place after day one.  Deubrook is back in fifth with a 283 and Castlewood eighth with ha 286.  The Redhawks Kaylee Johnson is in a tie for first place carding an 80.  Bailey Landmark is in seventh with an 87, Hamlin’s Taylor Koisti is tied with Castlewood’s Hanah Karst for eighth with an 89.

Great Plains Lutheran carded a 253 after day one at the Boys B to place first.  Deubrook is tied for fourth with a 259 and De Smet seventh with a 267.  GPL’s Sam Hansen took home first place after day one with a 73.  Deuel’s Tanner Preheim is in ninth with an 80.

The state golf meets wrap up today across the state.
