WATERTOWN, S.D.—The Watertown Board of Adjustment meets this afternoon to hear a proposal to build a Dollar General Store in the city.

A building permit application seeks conditional use approval to construct the 9,100 square foot store at the northeast corner of the Highway 81 intersection with 10th Avenue Northeast.

Documents indicate the store would face Highway 81, with 10th Avenue being the only access point.

Due to adjacent residential properties, a six foot fence is proposed to be built along the north and east boundaries of the property.

The plan calls for 30 paved parking spaces.

The Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on the project and then take action on it at their meeting at 4:15 at City Hall.
