GYM: Simon and Deuel tops at Region 1A/NEC Meet

CLEAR LAKE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Deuel was tops at the Region 1A/Northeast Conference Gymnastics meet Thursday night with a team score of 141.400. Estelline/Hendricks placed third with a 132.150, Milbank took home fourth with a 131.600, Britton fifth with a 125.350 and Sisseton sixth with a 114.900.
Top Individual Results
Paige Simon of Deuel would take home first on the vault (9.600), bars (9.700), beam (9.400), floor (9.600) and all-around (38.300)
Annie Hawley of Deuel would place second in the all-around (36.700) and on the beam (9.300)
Estelline/Hendrick’s Sadie Johnson took home a tie for second on the vault (9.150), and in the all-around (35.600) and on the floor (9.450)
Britton-Helca’s Sterling Mertens took home a tie for second on the vault (9.150)
The State Gymnastics Meet is February 12-13th at Watertown Civic Arena.
