WATERTOWN, S.D.–A new terminal that opens this summer at Watertown Regional Airport will include a, “Wall of Fame” in the building.

A volunteer committee has been formed consisting of city staff, airport board members and city council representatives to explore various options and ideas.

Airport Board member Dr. Jerry Rieber is spearheading the project as a way to, “celebrate the history of aviation in Watertown, and create excitement about the upcoming grand opening.”

The committee is asking for names and stories of individuals that should be considered for recognition in the hall, to include historical photos and stories surrounding the history of the airport.

The Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce will be accepting names, photos and stories until April 20th and pass them onto the committee for consideration.
