WATERTOWN, S.D.—Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. on the expansion of the Great Plains Lutheran High School campus.
President David Maertz says construction will soon commence on worship, performing arts and music additions to the school, as well as a new kitchen and dining area.
Maertz said, “it’s exciting to see several years of dreaming and planning become a reality.”
The high school opened in 1996, with 23 students in grades 9 and 10.
Enrollment has grown to 130 students in grades 9 through 12.
Maertz says the expansion, “will position us to serve our current students and a growing study body well into the foreseeable future.”
