WATERTOWN, S.D.–A ribbon-cutting was held Wednesday to mark the completion of an expansion of Great Plains Lutheran High School…

That’s Great Plains President, Reverend David Maertz.

The centerpiece of the expansion is a new 500 seat theater….

The total cost of the expansion was $6.7 million.

Great Plains opened in 1996 with 23 students in grades 9 and 10.

Today, it has a student enrollment of approximately 130 students in grades 9 thru 12.  It operates under the mission, “Providing a Christ-centered education to assist families in nurturing students as lifelong disciples of Christ.”
