WATERTOWN, S.D.–In agricultural circles, it’s sometimes referred to as a “million dollar rain.,” and that’s exactly what fell across South Dakota over the weekend.
Crops that were distressed by heat and a lack of rain finally got some moisture–and in some cases–a lot of it.
Multiple inch rainfalls were common across South Dakota.
Governor Kristi Noem tells KWAT News, “prayers were answered”…..
Watertown’s official rainfall total was just over an inch-and-a-half.
There was a report of more than five-and-a-half inches that fell in the Arlington area.
