GBB: Vandra-Prue hot night from the charity stripe downs Hamlin

MITCHELL, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Number four in Class A Hamlin fell to number three in Class B White River Saturday night at the Hanson Girls Classic by a final of 53-49.

Hamlin’s only two losses on the year have come to the hands of ranked Class B opponents.

Two Chargers would score in double figures lead by Kami Wadsworth with 18 points on six of 10 shooting from the field and a perfect six of six from the line. Kylee Wadsworth would tally 12 points on four of six shooting from the field and steal the ball four times. McKenna Prouty would contribute eight points.

Three Tigers would score in double figures being lead by Caelyn Vandra-Prue with 24 points. Vandra-Prue would have a hot night at the charity stripe going 16 of 17.

White River improves to 6-0 and comes home to face Lyman on January 19th. Hamlin falls to 5-2 and travels to Milbank on January 21st.
