GBB: Hamlin’s season ends at the hands of Roncalli

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Aberdeen Roncalli earned their first Class A girls state championship on Saturday with a 48-31 win over Hamlin.

The Cavaliers, who will be moving down to Class B next season, were lead by Morgan Fiedler with 15 points, Madelyn Bragg had 12 and Olivia Hanson added 10.

Kami Wadsworth netted 13 points for the Chargers on six of 16 shooting from the field. Her sister Kylee would grab 10 boards and tally four points.  Ashtyn Abraham would end the night with five points whole Ally Abraham had four points.

Kylee and Kami Wadsworth were both named to the all-tournament team.

Hamlin would have a tough night shooting, ending the night going 24 percent from the field while Aberdeen Roncalli would shoot 41 percent.

Hamlin ends their season with a record of 22-3 and graduates Ashtyn Abraham, Mckenna Prouty, Kylee Wadsworth, Brylie Arnold, Zoey Ruotsalainen, and Taylor Koisti.
