WAVERLY, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Deubrook Area upset Waverly/South Shore 58-47 in high school girls basketball Thursday night.
Baylee Homlund tallied 25 points for the Dolphins and all scorers. Andrea Vandermeer added 10 points.
Waverly/South Shore’s Emily Kranz would led the scoring for the Coyotes with 20 points on seven of 11 shooting from the field. Lydia Schroeder would contribute 10.
The Coyotes suffer their first loss of the year, fall to 10-1 and face Estelline/Hendricks at home January 30th. Deubrook improves to 8-3, sees their winning streak now go to five games, and comes home to face Dell Rapid St Mary tonight (January 29th).
