GBB: Comeback comes up short as Arrows fall to number one Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The comeback would come up short as Watertown fell to number one Aberdeen 48-45 in high school girls basketball Saturday night.
Abby Bramer would lead the Arrow scoring attack tallying 12 points on the night on five of six shooting from the field, and would go two of three from three-point land. Maddy Rohde added 11 points on three of eight shooting from the field, three of five from beyond the arc and two of two from the charity stripe. Maggie Heesch would add eight and Oliva Corey with five.
Abby Kopecky would lead all scoring for Aberdeen with 18 points. Melanie Jacobs would add 11.
Aberdeen improves to 15-1 and travels to Sioux Falls Lincoln on February 19th. Watertown falls to 4-13 and comes home to face Brookings on February 19th. Brent Nathaniel will have coverage on New Country KS93 and GoWatertown.net/Arrows.
