Gasoline prices continue receding from June’s all time highs

WATERTOWN, S.D. –When the summer travel season ends, gasoline prices typically fall, and that’s the case this year.

AAA Auto Club reports the nationwide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded today is $3.77 a gallon.

That’s down 31 cents a gallon from a month ago, and more than a dollar less than the all-time high of $5.01 a gallon set on June 14th.

In South Dakota, the average price is $3.72 a gallon, down 35 cents a gallon from a month ago.

The all-time high in South Dakota was $4.79 a gallon set on June 16th.
