WATERTOWN, S.D.— The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline dropped 19 cents over the past two weeks to $4.86 per gallon.
Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey says Sunday that the continued decline comes as crude oil costs also fall.
The average price at the pump is down 24 cents over the past month. But it’s still $1.66 a gallon higher than it was one year ago.
Triple-A says the average price for gasoline in South Dakota is $4.66 a gallon. The high water mark was on June 14th, when the average was $5.01 a gallon.
Although prices at some stations in northeast South Dakota have dropped by as much as 30-cents a gallon in recent weeks, Watertown’s gas prices have remained steady, at $4.68 a gallon.
