UNDATED—Gas prices in South Dakota have gotten a little less expensive over the past few weeks.

The website reports the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded is at $3.14 today.

A week ago, it was at $3.18 a gallon, and a month ago it was at $3.24 a gallon.

Prices still remain much higher than a year ago at this time, when the average was $2.19 a gallon.

Most stations in Brookings are selling gas for $2.89 a gallon, while prices in Watertown are running about 25 cents a gallon higher than that.
