WATERTOWN, S.D.–Tomorrow, a ceremonial groundbreaking will be held on a new $36 million ice arena that’ll be built on Watertown’s east side. Included will be an announcement on a naming rights agreement on the two-sheet facility.

Over the last several months, a fundraising group known as the,”Built It Now Committee” has been raising money to help cover construction costs.

Their goal is to raise $10 million.

The chairwoman of that group is Jodi Driscoll, and she gave KWAT News an update today on where they’re at…

Commitments to date total $8.9 million….

Driscoll says the donations run the gamut, from very small, to very large…

The majority of construction costs will be covered by sales tax revenue bonds.

If you’re interested in donating, contact Jodi Driscoll at 880-5753, or you can donate on the “Build It Now” page on Facebook which can be found by clicking here: https://www.facebook.com/BINWFSC/
