WATERTOWN, S.D.—Freezing rain, sleet and a light coating of snow made for slippery driving conditions across northeastern South Dakota Thursday.

National Weather Service forecaster Amy Parkin says snowfall amounts were generally in the area of four inches or less….

Parkin says by late this weekend and early next week, that new snow that fell will be long gone….

A Winter Weather Advisory that was in effect for northeastern South Dakota was allowed to expire at 7 a.m. Friday.
