WATERTOWN, S.D.–Early October in eastern South Dakota means harvest time, and the potential of the first frost of the season.
Both of those things look to be happening this weekend.
The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Freeze Watch for east river South Dakota from Friday night into Saturday morning when forecaster Kari Fleegel says temperatures are expected to drop to around 30 degrees….
Fleegel says frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
