PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Post 17 would wrap up a six-game stretch with a split at Pierre Post 8 Wednesday.
A two-hit, four-RBI day for Jerod Cyrus would send Watertown past Pierre in game one 11-1. The game was called in the fifth inning due to the 10 run rule. Kade Russell would have two hits and three RBI’s Watertown would drop down 10 hits in game one. Kale Stevenson would throw the complete game, going 5 innings throwing 78 pitches for four hits, one run, eight strikeouts, and walked two.
Game two would go to Pierre Post 8, 4-1. Stevenson would send the lone RBI past the plate for Post 17 on two hits. Jerod Cyrus would go six innings, throwing 97 pitches for eight hits, four runs, eight strikeouts, and walked one.
Watertown (17-13) will travel to Brookings for a pair of games at 1 and 3 p.m this Sunday.
